I'll be on the road all next week with Dead Hand on our tour with our friends in  Crawl. Since I will be gone any orders made after Monday morning at 8:00am won't ship until I get back home around the 10th. all orders before that will ship before we leave. I will have a bunch of DMR distro at the DH merch table as well, so if we're in your city then come on out and pick up something (Shroud Eater LP, Diseska / Neon Hole split 7", and  Bastard Lord, Starchild, and Stars That Move cds from Twin Earth Records). Once I get home I'll be updating the page with a lot of distro items as well as putting up preorder info for Buried at Sea's Migration double LP coming soon.

DEAD HAND have come a long way since their first 7" split with Repellers and their evolution throughout their history has been interesting. "Storm of Demiurge" shows a maturity in the short year and some change since their first release that takes some bands a decade to reach. That is even more impressive considering two new members including a new drummer and added keyboards / synths have come into the fold since "Apex Parasite".

Songs that are on average 9 minutes and up to 15 that take their time to evolve into an unforced climax. Drawing comparisons to Yob, Isis, and Red Sparowes, Dead Hand command each note with dynamics intended to move seamlessly through the volume shifts and tonal textures explored during this hypnotic 47 minute delivery.

Preorders and streaming of the entire album can be found here. Digital downloads can be found on Dead Hand's Bandcamp Page. We've teamed up with Third I Rex to handle the European release of the album to keep all of our friends from across the pond from having to pay more on shipping than the album itself. The release date is 6/28/15 but all preorders will ship on or before 6/23/15.

When I first got into heavy music an old band mate burned me a copy of Leechmilk's "Starvation of Locusts". That CD-R (the track order was backwards for whatever reason but it didn't matter) changed my life and is still one of my all time favorites. Dan Caycedo's venom infused vocals blasted through my speakers with such blackened conviction that I felt bad for whomever pissed him off. I had also never heard anything that compared to Charr's crushing drums. To this day I judge every drummer I come across by this album. They all fail.

I'm honored to be a part of giving this album a proper vinyl release. Originally recorded by Matt Washburn at Ledbelly Sound in 2000, remastered by Dan Emory at Black Matter Mastering with all new artwork by Jean Saiz of Shroud Eater. Coming this Fall... Stay tuned.
